Owner and Chef, Rui Borges, was born in Sao Miguel, Azores (an autonomous region off the coast of Portugal). He immigrated to New Bedford, MA the early 80’s in search of the American Dream. In 2004 he moved to Florida where he was able to realize his dream by opening the only Portuguese restaurant in Orlando….Lisbon.
Lisbon is a Portuguese restaurant serving authentic cuisine at its very best. Simple but elegant food is perfectly complemented by the restaurants Azulejo décor which is a characteristic element of Portuguese culture. We serve fresh fish and seafood alongside a vast selection of Bacalhau (salted cod) and meat dishes. Our Adega (wine cellar) offers a selection of some of the best Portuguese wines. We also serve our rendition of the famous "Pastel de Nata" which we proudly bake daily at Lisbon.
